2012 FASB Fitness Festival sets new record
Thanks to more than 2,400 runners and walkers and 600 plus volunteers, the 12th Annual First American State Bank Fitness Festival, held Sept. 8, raised a record $107,000 for the Community Asset Project (CAP), a partner of the Cherry Creek School District.

First American State Bank President Nick Lepetsos presented a check to the CAP board during the Parents’ Council meeting on Nov. 12. He was joined by Michael Dewsnap, Director of Student Services for Rocky Vista University, which sponsored the 5K Run/Walk at the festival.

CAP works with the CCSD Wellness Office to use those funds to provide important programs that support students’ social-emotional learning and the prevention of drug and alcohol abuse.  For more information, visit www.cherrycreekschools.org/Wellness and www.assetsconnect.org.
