Churchfield steps down as board president
Cherry Creek Schools Board of Education President Jennifer Churchfield stepped down as board president Monday, Aug. 12, 2013.

“I want to thank you for your incredible leadership,” Superintendent Harry Bull said.

The board elected Jim O’Brien as the new president and Dave Willman as treasurer. Randy Perlis will remain as vice president and Claudine McDonald as secretary. Churchfield will serve as secretary/treasurer until the end of her term in November.

“While you have a few more months on the board, it goes without saying that your leadership, energy and enthusiasm for the students and employees in this district will be missed,” O’Brien said.

Churchfield was elected to the board in 2005 and is term-limited. She became involved with the Cherry Creek School District beginning at Cottonwood Creek Elementary in various volunteer positions including PTO president, served as President of the Cherry Creek Community Legislative Network in 2004-05 and served as a Building Coordinator for the 2003 Bond and Budget election.

“I just want to thank everyone who touched my children’s lives and reached their untapped talent and potential,” Churchfield said.
